Hey Folks!  Tommy “Tahoe” Alaimo here.  Welcome back to The Weekly Six-Pack where I share the six best things I’m enjoying, thinking about, and experiencing each week.

Quote of the Week

“Life is always happening for us, not to us.”

– Tony Robbins

Weekly Six-Pack
Here are the 6 things to check out this week:

  1. Last week, Richard Harris, Sarah Brazier, and I talked about job hopping on the MillennialX Coffee Talk. Here is my main takeaway.
  2. May is mental health awareness month. Though I’ve written about my experiences with burnout and anxiety, I wrote up a new piece for my friend’s Anxiously Creative blog.
  3. I loved listening to author Michael Lewis on the Tim Ferris podcast. Lewis has such an interesting thinking process and I identified with a lot of his thoughts on writing.
  4. We’re spending a lot of time in our respective houses. It may be a good time to think about Via Negativa – or “addition by subtraction”.
  5. For my leaders out there, we spend a lot of time talking with people. There is a growing list of research indicating how important it is to have solitude and be alone with your thoughts if you want to be a great leader.
  6. Before you get too high on your horse, Steven Pressfield reminds us to always prepare for tomorrow

This Week

Make sure to check out MillennialX Coffee Talk. Every Thursday at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET.

This week we’re going to talk about compensation and negotiation. We’ll be ready to talk, lay it all out there and answer any questions you may have.

It’s become one of my favorite parts of the week and I’d love to see you there.
