Quote of the Week

“Last year one million quarter-inch drill bits were sold – not because people wanter quarter-inch drill bits but because they wanted quarter-inch holes.”

Weekly Six-Pack
Here are the 6 things to check out this week:

  1. Kyle Coleman, VP Revenue and Enablement at Clari, rocked this week’s podcast. Kyle was the #6 employee at Looker and helped to lead them to a $2B+ acquisition from Looker. He’s also one of the biggest names in Sales Development and offers great tactical advice for young salespeople and sales leaders. Subscribe here on AppleSpotify or YouTube.
  2. This is one of the best 3-minute coaching clips I’ve seen in a while. Duke Women’s Basketball Coach Kara Lawson talks about the difference between competing and working hard.
  3. I’ve been nose deep in The One Thing by Gary Keller. I’ve heard this book recommended more times than I can count and I can attest that it holds up to the hype.
  4. I loved listening to Tom Brady’s appearance on The Armchair Expert Podcast
  5. Who to follow: Brad Stulberg is a great resource on health and continuous improvement. His formula, stress + rest = growth, is simple but powerful.
  6. I have a lot of respect for Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott speaking out about his mental health journey.

This Week

I’m going to cut it a bit short this week. It’s been my first week at my new job and I need a Celtics win and a cocktail (I’m writing this early Friday morning).

And I know you’re probably reading this right before Sunday football kicks off for the first time this year.

Enjoy the day. Rest up. Get ready for tomorrow.

And let’s get after it this week.
