“Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”

– Steve Jobs

God damn is that quote inspiring.

The car you’re driving, the show you’re watching, and the phone you’re using to read this message. These are all created by people that were no smarter or more special than you or me.

Yeah, easy for Steve Jobs to say, right?

Maybe.  And maybe you won’t create the next Apple. You almost certainly won’t.

But who says you can’t run a profitable business? Who says you can’t write or draw or sing something that people pay for? Who says you can’t create something that helps others?

Even if it’s a twisty tie that keeps the bread from going stale, that’s still a contribution, and my turkey sandwich thanks you for that.

The point is: the world is yours to shape and alter. But only if you go out and create.

Make it happen today.
